Sheffield Race for Life

The athletic prowess of Opal 2 Sheffield staff came into prominence on Sunday 20th June at the Race for Life. The six strong team consisting of Lyn Thurlow, Bev Roebuck, Karen Gears, Rena Bibi, Melissa Tandy and Marilyn Walton completed the 5K run in a truely triumphant style, raising over £500 for Cancer Research UK.

The team used the outstanding facilities at Momentum Leisure Club Sheffield to physically prepare for the event and were mentored by long distance running specialist and Security / Mainenance team member Roy Thomas.
