Shaving & Waxing Day Raises Over £400

Jamie Shauc of Opal 1&2 Leeds raised a whopping £218 by having his beloved hair shaved in aid of the Opal Foundation and Little Heroes, the charity being supported locally by the hall. Karen Goodall, Hall Manager paid an extra £20 for the privilege of making the first cut which was 'worth every penny!' Karen think Jamie looks quite handsome with his new shaved look, although he said he would not be going out that weekend.

On the day, staff and students raised in the region of £400 as part of a 'Shave & Wax' day. Saks hairdressers kindly donated 2 staff to ensure the shaving & waxing was done professionally (and painlessly) as possible.

Little Heroes is a charity being supported by Opal 1&2 Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University. The charity aims to improve the lives of children with cancer in West Yorkshire whilst they undergo treatment for cancer, as well as provide a support netwrok for their families.
