Local Charity Projects 2010/11
How you can become involved
If you are reading this you are probably thinking about becoming involved in fundraising and we would like to help you do it! The Opal Foundation is working with AMREF to raise money for the Kechene Slum project in Ethiopia and depending which city you live in, the local Opal Hall may be supporting a local charity in which you can get involved. If not,you can help raise money for the Opal Foundation directly for the Kechene water and Sanitation Project.
This is how you do it:
1. If you are resident at any of the halls below, contact reception with your name and you will be notified of the date of the first charity meeting. Turn up and take part in the discussion on how to work with the local charity, what fundraising ideas to run with, the targets you might achieve and what fundraising start up money might be required. Remember you will not be doing this alone and it should be fun!
