Sneyd Community School, Walsall

Sneyd School had a choir until four years ago. Since then, the music department has undergone a variety of personnel changes, which has proved challenging for the musical direction of the school.
Adam Musa was appointed as Head of Music in September 2006, and was instrumental in re-energising music within the school.
With the assistance of the Opal Foundation, a partnership was formed between Adam and Kevin Stannard of Wolverhampton University. This has proved a successful partnership, leading to many collaborative events between the University and school. Sarah Cromwell, a local musician and ex teacher, also supported the initiative.
The choir developed well, and has already taken part in several concerts at the school and elsewhere.
