The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, Liverpool
The Academy is only two years old and is unique in several respects - they are the first, and so far only, joint Church of England and Catholic Academy, and the only Academy to specialise in the environment and sustainability.
The school already had strong links with Liverpool Hope University, which had been strengthened through involvement in the Opal Choir. It was clear that this was a very exciting and demanding project for the school.
Philip Duffy worked hard to establish a great rapport with choir members, which paid off on the night as they came a long way in a short period of time.
