* Upgrade/construct and equip rural health posts including the construction of an additional maternity wing serving at least 25000 people;


* Train emergency surgeons to address the critical shortage of staff in South Omo, in mother and child    health including emergency obstetric care (e.g. cesarean sections, blood transfusions);


* Train health extension workers at health centre/post level and within migrating communities to provide mother and child health services to prevent and treat diseases such as (HIV/AIDS, TB) and management of childhood illnesses (including malaria, diarrhoea); 


* Conduct outreach clinics, bringing health services to remote communities;


* Distribute insecticide treated mosquito nets to pregnant women.


* Construct Alternative Basic Education and primary school centres;


* Provide schools with hand-washing facilities, toilet facilities and water supplies, including rainwater harvesting (during rainy season) and tapping water from nearby sources;


* Provide training for teachers:


* Construct deep boreholes for villagers and their animals serving about 10-15000 people and equip communities with the skills and tools to manage and maintain them;


* Promote safe water and hygiene practices, development of materials in schools, and training of hygiene promoters.
