St Bede's Catholic School, Bradford

Although a Grammar school by name, St Bede's is in fact a comprehensive school for boys.  It was founded in 1900 giving it a long and proud history. The school’s mission statement promotes the academic, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural welfare of its students. It is with regard to the latter that were pleased to include a school choir in the extra curricular activities of the school.

St Bedes

The choir has been in existence since Christmas 2006, however since joining the Opal Choir project it has become extremely popular and has provided a tremendous boost for the school as a whole.

With this support from the Project, the students looked forward to going from strength to strength in supporting music within the school environment.

Mr Jim Coffey, Deputy Head Master, lead the effort from the school side, and Christopher McEllroy, Artistic Director & Fellowship in Music, provided invaluable expertise for the Choir.
