George Dixon International School, Birmingham
The George Dixon School Choir comprises of a wide range of ages, from years 8 to 11. This is one of our smallest choirs, but what they lack in size, they make up for with enthusiasm!
The choir was committed to perfecting their repertoire in preparation for the Royal Albert Hall event. This was an exciting opportunity for the school, and had attracted support from the community as a whole.
The choir had already performed prior to the new Year, and performed again at the Sound City 7 showcase for talented musicians from Birmingham schools in January.
The school does not have a music department, and the formation of the choir had a profound effect on motivating some of the children to want to study music in higher education.
